Joseph Rini - Bio

Joe Rini began his career in healthcare as an Ohio state-certified paramedic. After working in Cleveland's inner city for three years, he learned that although it was rewarding at times, he did not want the rest of his career consumed in dealing with heart attacks, tragic car accidents, and gunshot wounds.

Paramedic work offered the opportunity to learn about medical equipment and healthcare supplies that are required in the field. In 1978, Joe accepted a medical sales position where his customers included physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. He found the sales industry exciting and interesting as the products that he sold were actually treating patient's medical conditions and improving their lives.

As Joe's interest in sales and fascination with medical equipment grew, so did his desire to learn more and become involved from a manufacturing perspective. Joe founded his own company: United Rep & Marketing, Inc (UR&M) in 1980 becoming an independent manufacturer's representative with 8 medical equipment and supply manufacturers covering four states.

Over the next fifteen years, his business grew to a point where he had to add sales staff in each state to represent his lines. Hiring a sales team allowed Joe to fulfill his dream of building a fully interactive medical product showroom in Cleveland. In addition, the additional staff afforded him the time to take advantage of a number of consulting opportunities. Joe's business grew to over $28 million at wholesale during this time.

In 1999, Joe developed a "win-win" business deal where his sales team bought him out of UR &M Inc. so that he could answer the many inquiries and requests to replicate the positive results that he achieved in the Midwest on a national and international scale. His many domestic and foreign referrals (mostly from distribution customers) provided the business opportunity required for a full time consulting career.

Joe founded Joseph Rini Consulting a consulting business, allowing him to further strengthen his ability to listen to the manufacturer and help identify opportunities for improvement. By partnering with the manufacturer, appropriate strategies were developed to rectify inefficiencies and prepare for rapid growth and greater market share.

To date, Joe has represented over 100 manufacturers in various roles and multiple facets of the healthcare industry. He has been instrumental in creating national market leaders out of 9 manufacturers in their respective categories over the past 12 years. In addition, Joe has been able to improve the condition of dozens of other companies, and positively affect the livelihood of thousands of workers.

Joe learns what works for one client and applies that knowledge to assist other clients. He continuously strives to acquire new competencies. This, he says, is absolutely necessary in increasing his effectiveness in assisting his clients to achieve their challenging, desired outcomes.

Joe is a graduate of The Million Dollar Consulting College. This group of approximately 500 graduates worldwide represents the top independent Process Consultants available. This mentoring program is highly sought after and very difficult to complete.

Joe's active involvement in this elite community gives him access to the sharpest consulting minds in the world. From difficult strategic positioning to the most challenging problem solving being a member of this unique community has proven to be very helpful in accomplishing client goals.
